What We Do

Environmental Education

Children need to understand how the world works -- the natural world.  Our award-winning environmental curriculum uses the forests as a window on the world, helping students prepare for the future they will inherit. We provide educators with peer-reviewed, award-winning environmental education curriculum resources that can be integrated into lesson plans for all grades and subject areas.

Woodlands Conservation

All Americans have a stake in the future of our nation's forests. From clean air and water, to wildlife habitat, to wood products, recreation and solitude, America's forests give abundantly. Most of America's forests are owned by individuals and families, not the government. We ensure these family forest owners have the tools needed to keep America's forests healthy and productive.

Sign up for and explore AFF's website for woodland owners, by woodland owners. If you’re a birder, we can give you tips on how to attract more songbirds to your property. If you want to attract more wildlife like deer and other critters, we can help with that too. And if you want to learn how to keep your woods healthy, and growing strong, there’s lots of information on mylandplan.org to help you do that.
