Students Restore Habitat at Santiago Park Nature Reserve in Santa Ana, California
With help from a Project Learning Tree GreenWorks! grant, high school students from Santa Ana and Orange County are learning about the value of native plants, biodiversity, and wildlife habitat. A local non-profit, Back to Natives Restoration, is providing students opportunities to meet at the Santiago Park Nature Reserve once a month to participate in hands-on environmental education activities, and perform community service to improve the park for both wildlife and people.
