There’s a new museum on the horizon
It’s been 15 years in the making with no date set yet for completion. But there is progress. A 38-acre site next to the airport in Missoula is the location. The museum’s architectural plans call for using timber beams from a wide variety of tree species from across the country.
You can see what’s in store by visiting the museum’s website. Lots of donations are helping with the construction from trucking costs to barge costs, and of course lumber.
In addition to exhibits, there will also be a conservation education center to provide educational opportunities based on hisotry and current conservation research findings. Check it out!
