American Forest Foundation

September 8, 2023

In the next edition to our series we'll introduce you to another member of the Family Forest Carbon Program Account Management team. This team is responsible for landowner success, and the success of our carbon program.

We know that decisions regarding your land are not made lightly. They impact your family, your livelihood, and the planet. To help you feel confident in the people you work with and the information you’re given to make those decisions, we wanted to help you get to know the individual who will guide you through the enrollment process towards landowner success—from confirming it is a good fit for your long-term goals, to ensuring the T’s are crossed and I’s dotted so you receive your first incentive payment.

Heather Kingery, Account Manager with the Family Forest Carbon Program

Meet Heather

Heather lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband Sam, son William, and their collie-terrier mix, Bonnie. In her last role, Heather was the forest products specialist for the Nebraska Forest Service with a special focus on biochar. In her current role with the Family Forest Carbon Program, Heather works hard to provide landowners with the information and tools they need to make the right decision for their family land. Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time in her gardens, working on home-improvement projects, traveling, and taking Bonnie and William for hikes.

The Family Forest Carbon Program is now enrolling landowners with 30 acres or more in 19 states across the Midwest, Northeast, and the Central and Southern Appalachian regions. Click here to check your eligibility today.
