Glynnis Breen

Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Glynnis Breen leads all aspects of the American Forest Foundation’s national marketing, strategic communications, positioning and brand strategy, driving measurable growth and return on investment. She drives engagement and works across a broad coalition of partners, corporations, policymakers and family forest owners to address climate change and achieve vital social, economic and environmental outcomes. She is responsible for positioning our emerging and compelling brand story that sits at the intersection of conservation, business and policy.

Prior to joining the American Forest Foundation in 2020, Glynnis spearheaded global outreach initiatives, oversaw engagement for Explorers and secured international partnerships for the National Geographic Society. Her work raised visibility for the organization, and led to scientific discovery and on-the-ground conservation gains.

Empathetic and mission-focused, Glynnis credits lessons learned as a former field hockey captain for her ability to identify strengths, inspire growth and orchestrate collaboration. She is a founding member of Chief. When not advocating in the office, Glynnis is at peak happiness traveling with her big Irish family or tromping through her local woods with her curious toddler and devoted pup.
