Taldi Harrison

As Executive Vice President of Policy, Taldi leads AFF’s policy strategy and helps advance solutions that support family forest owners, healthy forests, resilient rural communities, and strong markets. She works across AFF and with policymakers, partners, and diverse stakeholders to translate the organization’s mission and programs into durable policy impact. 

Taldi brings two decades of leadership experience at the intersection of government, philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, and mission-driven business. Most recently, she served as Founder and Principal of Bipartisan Community Strategies, advising organizations on public policy, coalition building, rural development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic philanthropy. She previously held senior leadership roles with the Foundation for America’s Public Lands and REI Co-op, where she led national policy, government affairs, community investment, and cross-sector partnership efforts. Taldi also brings 15 years of nonprofit board and governance experience. 

Born in Alaska and raised in northwest Montana, Taldi’s approach to policy and community engagement is deeply informed by her experience growing up in a rural community navigating economic change. She is passionate about practical, community-centered solutions that respect local context, elevate stakeholder voices, and connect economic opportunity with conservation.
